ABC-CLIO eBook Collection has eBooks on countries, cultures, and history with a particular focus on African American history.
1. Go to the Dallas College Library homepage and scroll down to select the red Database box
2. Click on the A in the alphabet filter on the top.
3. Click on ABC-CLIO eBook Collection link
4. On the homepage, users can filter by title using the alphabet links and click on any of the titles to access eBooks

You don't need to fill all the boxes, if in doubt you can only search for terms in the full text box. Furthermore, the recommendation for searching would be to search by full text or by topic to find what you're looking for quickly.
3. The following image is the search results for searching medicine in the full text search box. There are also additional filters on the left by publication year, imprint, and topics.
4. Once you find a book that relates to your search terms, click on the title. Either this link will go directly to the eBook or a book description with an option to cite, open a particular chapter, and other information. If you searched by full text, the eBook will be opened to a page that includes the word that was searched. For this example, the book will open to a page that talks about "medicine". Use the arrows either on the left and right side of the screen or the right side of the eBook page to go forward or back in the text.

My Bookshelf is a free account with ABC-CLIO that will keep track of bookmarks and notes on titles that you view
1. Click the green My Bookshelf button
2. In the Don't have a My Bookshelf account box, click Create an account now
3. Fill in your Dallas College email address and create your username and password. Click Create Account when finished
4. You'll see a confirmation screen directing you to log into your new My Bookshelf account
5. Log in with your account information to see previous titles. When you click on these previous titles, go to My Bookmarks and Notes to see book-specific notes.
