Has an instructor asked you to use research for a class assignment such as an essay or presentation? Research for college-level assignments often requires more than quickly finding something from a website. You will need quality sources from reliable authors or organizations providing accurate and often timely information on specific topics. It's a lot to think about! Instead of trying to figure out which websites might offer acceptable sources, try using a library resource! Use a link in the Library Resources box or a Research Guide focused on specific subjects or sources to make your research easier.
Academic testing is for students who are currently taking a credit class and need to take an exam issued by their instructor.
The Learning Commons is proud to offer tutoring services designed to help students succeed! Tutoring is free to all eligible students at Dallas College.
Our tutors will help clarify points from lectures, labs, discussions or assigned readings, and act as facilitators for student learning, but will not write papers, do homework, or complete student assignments.
Technology devices are available and issued at any campus Learning Commons. Check the device inventory for available options. To be eligible for a device, you must be currently enrolled in one or more credit or continuing education hours during the current semester at Dallas College. If you withdraw from all courses, you must return your device. All devices must be returned by the end of each semester.
