Who do I contact if I have other questions about borrowing a device?

How long will I be able to use the device before I must return it? Can I renew my loan?
Technology device loan period vary based on device type and range from 3 hours to one semester. All Devices must be returned at the end of the semester for maintenance. New devices will be issued each semester. An extension can be granted for Career Technical Education students who are eligible to receive an extension.
Where do I return the device when I’m done using it?
Devices should be returned to the nearest campus library.
Can I keep my files and documents on the laptop?
Students are strongly encouraged to save their work to a flash drive or cloud storage of their choice. All files and documents on devices will be deleted upon return.
Who do I contact for tech support regarding the device?
If you need tech support for your device, you can contact Student Technical Support at 972-669-6402, or you can email the Service Desk at ServiceDesk@DallasCollege.edu.
If I have to drop a class, can I keep the device for my other classes?
If you drop all classes during the semester, the device needs to be returned to your nearest campus library. If you receive a device through the CTE Loaner Laptop Program and you drop all CTE classes during the semester, the device needs to be returned to your nearest campus library. CTE students are encouraged to schedule an appointment with a Success Coach before dropping a class.
What if my device is lost or stolen?
If the device is lost or stolen, a hold will be placed on your account for the estimated replacement cost of the device. Please email ERSS_LoanerProgram@dcccd.edu (for general device loans) or PerkinsCTEDevice@DallasCollege.edu (for CTE Loaner Laptop Program) to report a lost or stolen device.
What if my device is damaged?
Damaged devices will be assessed case-by-case. Please contact a campus library, ERSS_LoanerProgram@dcccd.edu (for general device loans) or PerkinsCTEDevice@DallasCollege.edu (for CTE Loaner Laptop Program) with questions about damaged devices.
