Join us for a lively discussion on censorship and banned books with Mary Woodard, immediate past-president of the Texas Library Association. Woodard will explore the history of censorship, the different types of censorship that exist today, and the impact that censorship has on individuals and society. She will also discuss the importance of intellectual freedom and the right to access information.

A 30 minute campus-led discussion in partnership with Special Academic Programs (PTK & Honors) will follow the presentation. This is a great opportunity to learn more about censorship and banned books, and to share your own thoughts and experiences on the topic.
